The Pico Technology Difference
Unlike Q-Switched lasers, Pico technology focuses extremely short yet powerful bursts of photoacoustic energy into the tattoo, shattering the ink into tiny dust-like particles that are easily absorbed by the body. The energy from the Pico laser is one-hundred times more powerful than Q-Switched lasers and has three separate and distinct wavelengths that effectively remove all types of ink and color. Q-Switched Lasers are only moderately effective in removing certain ink colors on pale skin; people with darker skin tones are not advised to use old methods due to increased chance of skin damage. Alternatively, Pico technology is safe for all skin types and allows the body to safely eliminate the ink, significantly reducing risk of skin damage.
